    Mutual funds continue buying

    Mutual funds have bought stocks worth a net Rs 1565.92 crore on 24 August 2017, compared with net inflow of Rs 1225.09 crore on 23 August 2017. The net inflow of Rs 1565.92 crore on 24 August 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2713.27 crore and gross sales of Rs 1147.35 crore. On 24 August 2017, the Sensex had risen 28.05 points or 0.09% to settle at 31,596.06, its highest closing level since 17 August 2017.

    Mutual funds have bought shares worth a net Rs 14506.29 crore in August 2017 so far (till 24 August 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 11799.85 crore in July 2017.
